Ambrosia Kitchen & Catering | Baltimore, MD

Aaron Eames, owner and chef of Ambrosia Kitchen & Catering, hails from Baltimore, MD. He fell in love with the hum of a busy kitchen watching his mother prepare dinners for their local church. After finishing his Army commitment, he went to BIC, a culinary school in downtown Baltimore, MD. Upon graduating, he interned at Vito’s Café in Cockeysville, MD. It was there that his inspiration from and flare for Italian food grew. After a year working under the Executive Chef, he moved on to catering as Executive Sous Chef of Classic Catering while helping his local church establish banquets and catering function where he catered annual conventions of over 1,000 patrons.

Though he loves his hometown, he made his way to Charleston to be apart of the culinary mecca. A graduate of the Art Institute of Charleston with a B.A. in Culinary Management, he has worked at Burwell’s, S.N.O.B., Barony Tavern, Cane Rhum Bar and now Tattooed Moose Johns Island. Aaron has 14 years of professional culinary experience, including 11 years of catering. Trained in authentic Italian cuisine, he fell in love with Caribbean cuisine as a young adult and has been studying ever since. His sense for flavor profiles and unique food combinations fused with both Italian and French techniques make the Ambrosia experience truly "food of the gods". It is his personal goal to elevate Caribbean food to the forefront of the food industry.
