Industry Lounge + Podcast Studio Lead

REPORTS TO: Events Team, Marketing Director
TERM: March 4 – March 9, 2020


The Industry Lounge + Podcast Studio Lead manages the fundamental aspects of the load-in of the Industry Lounge, the execution of the operations, and the breakdown of the Industry Lounge.  They will assist as needed in making sure the Podcast Studio is functioning properly, and will ensure that the Industry Lounge is remaining a good experience for those able to participate, by confirming programming is running smoothly. The position will also assist with additional tasks in the Culinary Village, as needed.
Skills Required are the ability to lift 25 lbs + stand for up to 8 hours, great interpersonal skills, and strong attention to detail. The ideal candidate is a quick problem-solver, a strong leader, organized, and enthusiastic with prior event experience. The candidate must be able to appropriately solve issues that are not black + white using our policies and values as guidelines, and know how to ask for support from the team when needed. 


Schedule (1) day to come into Charleston Wine + Food office to download on Industry Lounge objectives, purpose, and schedule;, and to meet the team

Be present on-site in the Culinary Village Industry Lounge during all hours of operation March 5 РMarch 8, 2020 

Oversee load-in + placement of signage + rentals in conjunction with Industry Lounge designer 

Enforce rules and regulations as told by the team, and familiarize yourself with all activations within the Industry Lounge. Ask Development team if there are any special requests regarding Partners

Connect with Talent Team to ensure all chef + bartender needs are met

Work with Charleston Wine + Food team in the Culinary Village on Monday following the festival to clean Industry Lounge space

Exhibit excellent guest experience skills when interacting with team, volunteers, talent and guests. Act as a brand representative of Charleston Wine + Food, and portray values of people first, community, diversity and good stewardship

Recognize + use our higher purpose as a guide in every decision made on behalf of the festival: to be a catalyst for connections that inspire curiosity through thoughtful storytelling and meaningful experiences with a sense of place


Provide own laptop + cell phone that are able to run cloud-based software and apps

Live in greater Charleston, SC area, and have a personal vehicle able to be used throughout festival weekend

Clearly communicate with full team upon hire hours + days dedicated to Charleston Wine + Food

Competence in Microsoft Office, G Suite (Google Docs + Sheets), and interoffice communication channels, with professional writing and communication skills

Ability to work collaboratively with a variety of people

Comfortable working in an outdoor setting

Must be available + onsite for festival execution for full days March 5 – March 8
