POSITION TITLE: Festival Ticketing Staff

REPORTS TO: Guest Experience Coordinator

TERM: March 4 – 8, 2020

OVERVIEW: 

The Ticketing Staff will work closely with the Guest Experience Coordinator in a customer-service + logistics-focused role. These individuals will be a point person during check-in and at entry points into select ancillary events, and will troubleshoot customer service issues in compliance with the Charleston Wine + Food ticketing policies + procedures. 

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Work with Charleston Wine + Food’s Guest Experience Coordinator to maintain positive guest relations and resolve any ticketing issues

Develop extensive knowledge of badging + approved credentials; able to communicate clearly to volunteers, guests, and participants

Lead check in at select ancillary events and ensure entry is seamless + timely while also maintaining the integrity of the ticketing guidelines

Work independently and make decisions as necessary to provide an exceptional guest experience

Utilize ticketing software to process orders, manage guest lists, and handle check-in

Have acute awareness of how each event is laid out and what the check-in process will be for each event; solve for bottlenecks + long lines as necessary

Lead volunteers to ensure a successful check-in process

Exhibits excellent guest experience skills and can lead volunteers in delivering the best in the world guest experience to attendees + participants

Acts as a brand representative of Charleston Wine + Food and portrays our values of people first, community, diversity, and good stewardship

Recognizes + uses our higher purpose as a guide in every decision made on behalf of the festival: to be a catalyst for connections that inspire curiosity through thoughtful storytelling and meaningful experiences with a sense of place

REQUIREMENTS:

Be present on-site at the festival March 4 – 8, 2020

Attend ticketing staff training session(s) (date(s) to be determined)

This position requires working full days (up to 10+ hours/day) during the festival week (March 4-8)

Available to work a flexible schedule that includes evenings and weekend hours

Must be able to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.) and stand for up to 8 hours

Able to work quickly, cooperatively, and collaboratively under pressure and with a variety of people

Comfortable working in an outdoor setting (rain, cold, heat, mud)

Use of personal vehicle during festival week

Use of personal cell phone during festival week that can access the internet and run cloud-based apps
