Beverage Workshops

Southern Classics

CHSWF Beverage Hub @ Iron Rose Bar & Restaurant

It’s impossible to downplay the impact South Carolina has had on the spirits industry. We’re taking a deep dive into a range of spirits made famous by the South – think Madeira, Rum, Moonshine, and Whiskey – in this spirits workshop focused on the history of the South and how Black bartenders of the 19th century shaped the development of cocktail culture.. Explore how some of the South’s classic spirits are produced and uncover their storied histories. From stories including Prohibition to Al Capone, this is one beverage workshop not to miss.

Tucked inside the walled courtyard at The Mills House, Iron Rose brings elevated Southern Coastal fare and well-crafted cocktails to the historic French Quarter. Locals and visitors enjoy indoor and outdoor courtyard dining, perfect for passing a pleasant hour for breakfast, dinner, and any time in between. At the newly reimagined Mills House – Charleston’s famous “pink hotel” – you’ll find Southern traditions with a modern twist and a taste of everything that makes the Holy City special.
