Sharpen Your Skills
Supported by The Local Palate
Proper knife skills often separate the wheat from the chaff in the kitchen…and maybe even literally! Learn from the expert blade smith, Quintin Middleton, whose business is 100% devoted to knife making and his brother Marcus Middleton, a Charleston-favorite chef + caterer. The class will include lessons in honing your skills – and your knives – by the Middleton brothers as they share the story of their interconnectedness in the kitchen and their respective expertise: Quintin will teach sharpening while Marcus leads you through a cooking demo where you’ll use your knives in the dish preparation. A guest mixologist will round out the experience by sharing knife skills that will have you sprucing up your at-home bartending. Expect some sharp storytelling, too!
