Funnels of Flavor

Crispy fried dough layered with coconut, rum, and warm spices – sounds like a match made in heaven! Join Paola Velez – co-founder of Bakers Against Racism and Doña Dona – for an afternoon bake-a-coquito-funnel-cake session that will satisfy your stomach and fuel the rest of your day. Coquito is a coconut rum based drink typically enjoyed during the winter holiday season; however, according to Paola, the coquito flavors should be enjoyed year-round… and we don’t disagree! Blend these mouth-watering flavors with the fun + whimsy of an American classic – the funnel cake – and you’re sure to feel (em)powered to tackle the festival weekend ahead!
