Take an adventurous trip south of the border with this unique pairing of tequila + chocolate. We’re marrying two of our neighbor’s greatest exports to explore the ways cacao + agave complement one another in production, harvesting, and the sustainable approaches each industry has taken. In this master class, you’ll hear from Morgan Hurley of Mex 1 Coastal Cantina as he shares his experiences from the fields of Mexico and shines a light on how several producers are making really good tequila in a sustainable way. Morgan will be joined by Chef Israel Buendia Veloz of the Four Seasons in DC, who will present a sampling of Mexican artisan chocolates as you learn the history of cacao and its impact on Mexican culture. We can guarantee this will be one tasty tequila workshop.
