Collaborators

In line with our Higher Purpose, we are excited to come together with other entities in the Charleston area to lift our community to new heights. With mission based work and shared goals as our guiding light, Charleston Wine + Food and its Collaborators will work on strategic projects that best achieve them. Stay tuned for more information on these new Collaborations. We are proud to be working to create a more equitable community, together.

Black Food Fridays is an online initiative that highlights Black-owned restaurants and encourages individuals to support them on Fridays. Founded by KJ Kearney – a North Charleston native – Black Food Fridays stems from his desire to help black-owned restaurants struggling through the COVID-19 pandemic while driving positive economic impact.

The annual convention of the African- American Tourism Conference allows tourism officials + residents to understand the benefits of investing in the development of local African- American owned businesses + nonprofits. Through this collaboration, we are excited to showcase, patron, and support driving business toward local Black-owned restaurants through an ongoing blog series that highlights these establishments that make up the fabric of our dining culture.
