Letter from our Executive Director
Thirteen years ago, a group of local culinary enthusiasts came together around an idea – to create an experience that would celebrate + showcase the area’s rich flavor through the lens of award-winning chefs, beverage professionals, and artisans. The first champagne 🍾 was popped in 2006, and Charleston Wine + Food has flourished into a world-class experience that rivals the very best of its kind.
In alliance with our higher purpose, we are immensely inspired by Charleston and the many people who work so hard to create a city we are proud to promote + showcase. We work to create meaningful experiences that ignite a spark in our culinary + hospitality industry and community as a whole. This year Charleston Wine + Food embarks on its 13th season and with 109 events on the schedule this year’s event and talent line-up are truly stellar.
As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, it is our absolute honor to give back to a community so deserving and loaded with flavor, beauty, and charm. We take great pride in saying that 92 cents of every single dollar we spend producing Charleston Wine + Food is mission-based.
