In 2022, we’re taking ownership of “Togetherness.” Love thy neighbor. Support local business. Rally for our community; for good food, good drink, and good company. Together is just better, and it’s how it was meant to be.

Producing 100+ events is daunting, and we could not do it without our talent community. We exist to celebrate, educate, enrich, and promote the Lowcountry’s diverse culinary + hospitality community through world-class experiences. We aim to serve the talented chefs, beverage professionals, hoteliers, restaurateurs, business owners, purveyors, and entrepreneurs that make the city of Charleston worth celebrating. It is with these stakeholders in mind that we are bringing to life the 2022 festival.

In an effort to be a more inclusive organization and decrease the barriers for chef + beverage professionals to participate in our festival, we have several ways that we directly compensate our talent.

22 IS FOR YOU

 

The talented chef + beverage professionals that make up Charleston Wine + Food work hard all year. So we want them to have fun during festival weekend and we look to create authentic moments of connections between peers. Think of the festival as a community trade show!

BRING A PAL

 

It’s not easy being a lone ranger! All participating talent will receive at least two badges – one for the participant and one for an assistant or wing-person. Like we said, 22Together is about more fun all around. Talent badges include access to over $3,200 in ticketed events!

FOOD + BEV COSTS? COVERED

 

While this is not new for ‘22, we’re making it easier than ever to pre-order ingredients and have them ready and waiting for prep when you arrive at the prep kitchen or event space.

WELCOME TO CHARLESTON (REALLY!)

 

We love folding in visiting chefs with our excellent hometown team. And we understand travel can be costly. That’s why we are providing a travel stipend and hotel accommodations for festival-programmed out-of-town talent.

COLLABORATIONS AND SIGNATURE MEALS

 

We’re increasing the per-head stipends for food + beverage associated with specialty meals to respond to escalating ingredient + labor costs. We’re also welcoming more brunches + lunches into the schedule, allowing restaurants to pick a time that works best for them to host an event.

ON-THE-GROUND SUPPORT

 

We want it to be  as easy as possible for our talent to participate. Participating in Charleston Wine + Food means access to a prep kitchen + specialty equipment along with festival-provided  rentals, signage, compostable plateware + flatware, and more so our talent can just show up and do their thing!
