There’s only one way to say what is in my heart right now.
Thank you!
On behalf of our entire team at Charleston Wine + Food, I extend our deeply felt gratitude to this community for showing the world what true hospitality looks like. And as we close the books on the 2023 festival, we want to take a moment to reflect on the joys that happened over five days last week (and the 360 that preceded them).
Hundreds of chefs, winemakers, brewers, distillers, musicians, artists, sommeliers, and others worked together to create magic. We saw it conjured on plates, in music clubs, in swirling glasses, and in connections forged over hot coals + cool sips. If you were one of the talented souls who poured your heart out for our guests, you are one of the most important ingredients in this recipe.
If you were a guest who purchased a ticket and brought your good spirit and sense of adventure to any or many of our events, we were honored to be a part of your journey.
If you were on our team – doing anything from sorting compost, hanging signs, dollying cases, volunteering, or greeting guests, among a million other important tasks – without you, we’d be nowhere.
And to all the local partners, sponsors, municipalities and others who invested in this gathering that means so much to us all, we say a rousing: Cheers! Your faith in our ability to create a place where community can be fostered is nothing short of beautiful.
This non-profit organization was created to celebrate, educate, enrich, and promote the Lowcountry’s diverse culinary + hospitality community through world-class experiences. Together, we make that mission a reality.
This homegrown festival celebrates a collective of artists, culinary visionaries, craftsmen, bartenders, brewers, purveyors, couriers, farmers, events staff, wine pros, sanitation assistants, security guards, writers, musicians, prep chefs, servers, restaurateurs, guests, and Charlestonians. YOU are key to this recipe, and it is with you in mind we brought to life the 2023 Festival. A wine + food festival with many layers – just like you.
We’ll see you next March 6-10, 2024!
Fondly,
Alyssa Maute Smith
