Emma started her day at The Park Cafe, which features a creative + approachable menu with a focus on sustainability. Favorites include the avocado toast and fried egg sandwich, but any of the menu items are sure to fill you up for your day trip adventures. This neighborhood favorite believes food doesn’t have to be complicated, and the bright, plant-filled dining room is sure to bring a smile to anyone’s face.
AT-HOME BREWING WITH COUNTER CULTURE COFFEE

For her first activity of the day, Emma got a hands-on lesson on perfecting her at-home coffee routine. The experts at Counter Culture Coffee walked through the flavor profiles + aroma descriptors, shared instructions on different brew methods, and provided the skills + knowledge to make the perfect cup of coffee at home.
HEAD TO THE VILLAGE: LUNCH AT POST HOUSE

For lunch, Emma took a drive over the Cooper River to Mount Pleasant’s charming Old Village neighborhood. This local favorite coastal tavern + inn offers a charming relief from the day-to-day hustle. Featuring the region’s best seasonal produce, locally caught seafood, and sustainably raised meats, the menu is sure to have something for everyone.
FRAGRANCE-FIRST EXPERIENCE: CANDLEFISH

After taking the afternoon to recharge + relax, Emma settled in for a candle making workshop at Charleston inspiration destination, Candlefish. Featuring 100 unique scents curated for any + every candle lover out there, Candlefish’s candle making workshop allowed Emma to get in on the action. She learned the ins + outs of candle making, was guided through fragrance exploration, and made two personalized candles in the scent of her choice.
LOCAL FARE: DINNER AT BUTCHER & BEE

Set out to create “honest-to-goodness” food, this spot north of the crosstown offers show stopping dishes and spectacular flavors, and was the cherry on top of Emma’s perfect day. While the menu is continuously changing, you can count on it always being full of the freshest locally-sourced ingredients and internationally-inspired flavors. Pro tip: don’t skip out on the whipped feta.
RECHARGE: THE HARBINGER CAFE & BAKERY

Emma started her Sunday morning at neighborhood favorite The Harbinger Cafe & Bakery. This from-scratch kitchen features breakfast all day and seasonal salads + sandwiches alongside a drool-worthy selection of the freshest baked goods (even complete with plant-based and gluten-free options!). The full coffee + espresso bar will leave you fueled up and ready to take on even the busiest of days.
