1 delicious margarita
SHOPPING LIST
1 pint of strawberries
1 lemon
1 lime
1 fresno or jalapeño pepper
1 cucumber
1 pint of orange juice
Sugar
Your favorite tequila blanco
Your favorite triple sec
Your favorite margarita mix
INGREDIENTS
Strawberry Puree
1 pint of fresh strawberries, cleaned and hulled
Zest of half a lemon
1/2 fresno or jalapeño pepper
1/2 cup orange juice
1/4 cup simple syrup*
*Make your own simple syrup by combining 1 part sugar and 1 part hot water in a small pot over medium heat and stir until dissolved. Store in the refrigerator.
Margarita
1 1/2 oz tequila blanco
1/2 oz triple sec
1 oz of strawberry puree
1/2 oz of cucumber water*
2 oz of your favorite margarita mix
1/4 oz of orange juice
Lime wedge for garnish
*Make your own cucumber water by juicing half a cucumber. Easy!
INSTRUCTIONS
Make the strawberry puree
1. Combine all ingredients into a pot and bring to a boil for 5 minutes
2. Place mixture into the refrigerator to chill
3. Puree until smooth
Assemble the margarita
4. Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker filled with ice
5. Shake vigorously for 10 seconds
6. Serve in a rocks glass over ice
7. Garnish with a lime wedge
8. Enjoy outside in the sun!
