Mix it up in the New Year! Join the festival in January for BB&T Charleston Wine + Food’s Mixology finals, where one of four cocktail finalists will be awarded the Official Cocktail of the 2015 festival. Sip cocktails inspired a decade of Charleston Wine + Food and enjoy the artful reveal of the original painting, Loaded Rice Barge, by celebrated Charleston artist Jonathan Green and the festival’s 2015 Official Poster artist who also will serve as a cocktail judge at the event. Jonathan Green’s work tells the story of the southern experience and reflects an intrinsic sense of history and place. Every guest at this spirited event will go home with a 2015 Official Poster!
Revel in art with friends while sipping the four finalist’s cocktails for the 2015 Charleston Wine + Food Mixology Competition. Sponsored by William Grant & Sons, this year’s competition seeks a cocktail that honors and celebrates the decade of Charleston Wine + Food and the vibrant cocktail culture in lovely Charleston, SC. Culled from over 25 imaginative and delicious entries, judges Patrick Emerson (Beverage Director, CHSWFF) Brooks Reitz (Jack Rudy Cocktail Co.+ Leon’s Oyster Shop) and Charlotte Voisey (William Grant & Sons) selected the following four finalists: Jeremiah Schenzel, The Cocktail Club; Kyle Degolyer, Poogan’s Porch; Megan Deschaine, 492 (upcoming) and Chris Laine, Ice Box.
The event, Art in a Glass: Cocktails + Canvas, will celebrate cocktails and the arts. Join us on Thursday, January 22nd from 5-7pm at Republic Garden and Lounge on King Street in downtown Charleston.
