The Charleston Maritime Center is a special events and marina facility, located in the heart of downtown. Tour boats and the water taxi dock here, providing great ways for everyone to enjoy Charleston’s waterfront. The Fort Sumter-Fort Moultrie Historical Trust invites you to experience 171 years of American history at our wonderful National Park Service sites here in the Charleston area. Visits to Fort Moultrie, Fort Sumter, and the plantation of Charles Pinckney make any trip to Charleston fun and educational for everyone.

Experience an 18th-century plantation, National Historic Landmark and America’s oldest landscaped gardens. House Museum tours highlight family collections and the role of the Middletons in American history. Costumed interpreters demonstrate the skills once performed by enslaved Africans in the Stableyards. Carriage tours, nature walks and African American focus tours.
