Sideshow Americans is an alternative country and Americana band founded and based in James Island, South Carolina.

Deeply rooted in the rich string band tradition of the American Southeast, Sideshow Americans blends a country, bluegrass, and rock sound that draws from a deep mixture of influences like John Prine, the Jayhawks, and Wilco.

Consisting of guitarists Ryan Bonner and Dan Wright, bassist Whitt Algar, and multi-instrumentalist Cory Jarrett, Sideshow Americans delivers carefully crafted songwriting packaged in four-part Southern harmony.

In early 2015, the band recorded and released a music video for their song Brokenhearted while writing and rehearsing new material.  In the summer of that year, Sideshow recorded Streetlights, their five song debut EP.  Recorded in Charleston, SC, the album was mixed at Hello Telescope in Nashville by Josh Kaler and mastered in Los Angeles by award-winning mastering engineer Pete Lyman (Shovels and Rope, Chris Stapleton).

Sideshow Americans continues to write, record, and perform new music and has plans to record a full length album in 2016.
