Nicole Krasinski is a Pastry Chef/Owner of State Bird Provisions and The Progress in San Francisco. Nicole’s pastry skills were first nurtured at the Red Hen Bakery in Chicago under Chef Nancy Carey. In 2000, Nicole and husband Stuart Brioza were hired to be the Pastry Chef and Executive Chef at Tapawingo, in Michigan, where they developed their style of cooking using seasonal and local foods. In 2004, Nicole and Stuart took over the kitchen at Rubicon in San Francisco and in less than a year reestablished the restaurant as a top-dining destination in the city. On December 31st, 2011, Nicole and Stuart opened the award-wining State Bird Provisions, which has introduced a new way of thinking about dining and service. Expanding on those ideas, in December 2014 Nicole and Stuart opened The Progress to critical acclaim.
