Andrew Knowlton is the Deputy Editor at Bon Appétit where he has worked, like, forever (since 2000 to be exact). He oversees the magazine’s restaurant coverage, including the annual Hot 10 list, and writes features such as “24 Hours at the Waffle House,” and “Welcome to Hillstone, America’s Favorite Restaurant.” His rather opinionated Foodist column has run in the magazine since 2008. You might have seen him on TV (with or without long hair) on shows like The Next Iron Chef America and Iron Chef America as well as the Bravo series Best New Restaurant. He lives in Brooklyn with his wife and two daughters (the oldest is named after a popular Southern cocktail). He likes all Atlanta sports teams, boiled peanuts, the Dead, JAWS, steal frame bicycles, and running long distances. He dislikes all New York sports teams, kiwis, kidneys, green bell peppers, and drivers who park in bike lanes.
