Tahmiene is funky with her own style and likes music blaring in the winery. She believes that the wine also feels the funk and the vibrations. She is a fun loving gal that wants to have fun and when she wants to get something done, she puts everything into making it happen. This clearly describes her lifestyle along with her ambitions to make a beautiful product.

As the Winemaker of Maysara and Three Degrees, Tahmiene’s passion for wine, health, and innovation is evident in every aspect of the winery and it’s vintage.

Born in Madrid, Spain, Tahmiene’s earliest memories involve a love of wine inspired by her father’s stories when going to his grandfather’s estate and the wine that he made. A risk taker by nature, she surprised her family by deciding to be a winemaker. She studied at Oregon State University, with the intent to learn how to make the best wine. For several years she worked in wineries in New Zealand and then continued to further her knowledge by working at several local wineries in Oregon.

Maysara Winery was established in 2001 so we are thrilled to be celebrating our tenth harvest this year! We can only say, “We are excited and looking forward to the new era of Maysara Winery.” Tahmiene’s saying is, “There is no crying in making wine” and when seeing the wines, you understand the love and devotion from of our family in the wines we make.
