Chef and owner of the Hominy Grill in Charleston, SC, Robert Stehling was recognized as 2008 Best Chef Southeast by the prestigious James Beard Foundation.  Stehling first learned to cook under Bill Neal, chef, author and founding partner of Crook’s Corner in Chapel Hill, NC.   Stehling then cooked in New York City for several years and in 1996, Stehling moved to Charleston and opened Hominy Grill.
