Forrest Parker is Chef de Cuisine at Old Village Post House in Mount Pleasant. Forrest grew up in Anderson, SC. He cut his teeth with Louis Osteen at Louis’s Restaurant on Meeting Street, before moving west. He landed in Michigan where he was the Chef at Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort and oversaw the development, launch and operations of the Siniikaung Steakhouse.

From there, Forrest moved to Minneapolis, MN to be closer to family and became Chef of the Mystic Lake Casino & Resort.  This is where Forrest led a large team of 12 Chefs and 85 associates and was the trainer for the property-wide culinary initiatives.  After almost five years in the City of Lakes, it was time to head back south.

Forrest led the culinary teams of eight outlets at Gaylord Opryland in Nashville, TN. Due to the historic Nashville floods of 2010, his family relocated to Charleston, SC.  He is excited to be reunited with his family and a part of the dynamic cuisine Charleston has to offer.
