Daughter of Jayson Pahlmeyer, Cleo grew up with the family business but never visualized herself actually joining the winery. Her education took her to the East Coast for both boarding school and university. After receiving her BA in Art History from the University of Virginia, Cleo went on to study in London at Sotheby’s Institute of Art where she earned a Master’s Degree in Connoisseurship of Fine and Decorative Art. She pursued her interest in the art field with a job at Bonhams auction house in London. However, while working there, she found that it was not only the art auctions that fascinated her, but the wine auctions as well. Cleo has come by this interest naturally, having been raised in

Napa surrounded by the wine business and thus afforded many opportunities to become familiar with all aspects of the wine production process. Moreover, excellent wines and gourmet cuisine have always been part of her family’s culture. Cleo has been working with the family business on a full-time basis since 2008, when she took on the challenge of managing Direct Sales and Marketing.
