Chris Ryan earned degrees in Culinary, Pastry Arts and Food and Beverage Management from Johnson & Wales in Providence, RI.  Originally from Long Island, NY, he assumed the role of Sous Chef / Pastry Chef in restaurants in Atlanta, The Hamptons, and Manhattan.  Prior to his position as Executive Pastry Chef of Morrell Caterers, he assumed the role of Pastry Chef in several Long Island restaurants.  After his recent move to Charleston he has taken on the position of Executive Pastry Chef of Charleston Place Hotel.
