Chef Troy is Executive Chef for Bottle Cap Restaurant Group. Including the Ink n Ivy concept, with locations in Charlotte, NC, Charleston, and Greenville SC.
For eleven years Chef Troy hosted his live weekly cooking show "Troy's Everyday Eats" on WCCB Charlotte. Showcasing recipes for the home cook using simple ingredients and technique. He has also appeared on Fox and Friends in NYC, Cooking Channel, "Cheap Eats", PBS “a Chef’s Life”, Cooking Channel "Cheap Eats" and commercials with Dale Earnhardt Jr.
He has authored the cookbook Pseudo Southern-a playful twist on the art of southern cooking. Vivian Howard, star of “A Chefs Life” says, “Troy’s take on southern food is just left of center, fun, and refreshing. His recipes are approachable riffs on our regions’ specialties that even the most jaded cook will be intrigued to try.”
Troy’s passion for food and hospitality has inspired two successful businesses. Motown Spice Provisions, a wholesale/retail spice and breader company that specializes in small batch blending for clients such as the Carolina Panthers and Husk Greenville. His Company, Belly Brothers, is producing Uncle Hamp’s Carolina Bacon for food service and retail along with a chef series that will source only in North and South Carolina.
