McKenzie Eddy and Elliot Smith

Years of Participation

A few years ago, we met and quickly decided to combine our creative powers. Now we play music together, produce events, and just generally enjoy our life together. We both have unconventional backgrounds that are fortunately pretty compatible.

McKenzie is a singer, yoga teacher, and PR coordinator. She currently teaches yoga at Reverb CHS and Urban Flow. Before Charleston, McKenzie was finishing up a 7-year stint in New York running BluRoc records, touring the country, and working with artists like Curren$y, Wiz Khalifa, Murs, and RZA + The Black Keys for the Blakroc album. For her first few years here, she owned and operated the popular King Dusko, an eclectic art and music venue on King Street.

Elliott is a musician, visual artist, writer, and non-traditional attorney (public interest/community organizing, counsel to other creatives). He has been drawing, writing music, and getting into intellectual debates since he was a kid, so the mix works. Before Charleston, Elliott played in a touring band in his 20s, opening for groups including Toots & The Maytals (including a SE tour leg), James Brown (for the Harvest Fest in Suwannee), Steel Pulse, and Jason Mraz.
