Larry Schreiber is the executive chef of Good Food on Montford in Charlotte, NC.

A native of Long Island, NY, Schreiber attended the Culinary Institute of America immediately following high school. Upon graduation from CIA, Schreiber followed the path of many great chefs and headed to New York City. After working in the renowned kitchens of Aqua Grill, Vong and Le Cirque, he headed to Boston for a position at Metropolis Cafe, working with his soon-to-be-mentor, Bruce Moffett.

In 2000, Larry answered the call for culinary help from Chef Bruce Moffett and headed south to Charlotte, NC. He working alongside Chef Moffett, helping him to open Barrington’s Restaurant. After several years at Barrington’s Restaurant, he left to further develop his culinary and managerial skills at several different Charlotte-area eateries. In 2009, Larry reunited with the Moffett team, helping launch Good Food on Montford, a 2010 James Beard Award semi-finalist for Best New Restaurant.

Larry has since been an integral part of Moffett Restaurant Group, leaving Good Food on Montford in late 2012 to open Moffett Restaurant Group’s third concept, Stagioni. In 2014, Larry returned to Good Food on Montford as Executive Chef. Under his supervision, Good Food has earned its keep as one of the top restaurants in the region. Charlotte Magazine named it the #4 restaurant in Charlotte in its 2015 restaurant rankings.
