On a mission to hand raise the finest oysters in Charleston, Barrier Island Oyster Co. grows premium singles from seed to market size entirely in floating baskets. This restorative farming technique guarantees the highest quality product for local consumers by raising hatchery spawned oysters from seed, leaving wild oyster populations in place to perform their many ecosystem functions.

Barrier Island's Sea Cloud Singles are exceptionally clean in taste and appearance as the animals are cultured within earshot of the Atlantic Ocean and inundated with pristine seawater.
