Ethos

Years of Participation

2023

Ethos artists are selected for their concert-level tier of performance, and willingness
to experiment and create novel musical experiences. Our core players are based in
Charleston with varied international backgrounds and résumés, representing France,
Ukraine, Slovakia, Japan, and more. Expect the musical skill of top classical artists,
mixed with a plethora of genres and instrumental combinations. The possibilities
start from traditional repertoire, to a set of swinging-jazz, modern pop, and
customized sets with a DJ, pianist, vocalists, and more.
Credits include: BravoTV’s Southern Charm, Maersk, Charleston Steeplechase
(presented by The Post and Courier and Baker Motor Company), Charleston
International Film Festival, performances during Spoleto Festival USA at the French
Huguenot Church and St. Philips Anglican Church, opening for Michael Bolton, and
weddings featured in People Magazine. Artists actively perform as Chamber
musicians and in concerts with the Atlanta, Charlotte, Charleston, Hilton Head,
Greenville, and Asheville Symphonies.
Ethos music director and cellist is Andrew Mille, a Franco-American with Lowcountry
roots. His wife, Arlene Felipe, is an artist and first-generation Filipina-American from
Goose Creek, SC. Together with their merle pom, Louie, they reside in historic
downtown Charleston.
