Erin Byers Murray joined the Local Palate in 2020 as editor in chief and oversees the editorial content across all platforms, including the magazine, the Local Palate Marketplace, the website, and social media channels. Murray is an award-winning author and cookbook collaborator with books like Shucked: Life on a New England Oyster Farm and Grits: A Cultural and Culinary Journey Through the South. Her latest, The Row 34 Cookbook, was released in 2021. Her work has appeared in publications including the Boston Globe, Food & Wine, Thrillist, Huffington Post, and Wine & Spirits, as well as three editions of Best Food Writing. Murray is a co-founder of Dirty Pages, a recipe and storytelling project that collects the stories behind well-loved recipe cards, and she serves on the board of Les Dames d’Escoffier International.
