A four-time James Beard Award semifinalist, Eric Gabrynowicz joined Tupelo Honey as vice president of culinary in October 2016. After getting his start in the industry at Sycamore Farms in Middletown, NY, Gabrynowicz worked at Danny Meyer’s acclaimed Union Square Café in New York City. After graduating from the Culinary Institute of America with honors, he returned to Meyer’s well-known restaurant group, and worked his way up to sous chef at Union Square Cafe. Following Union Square,Gabrynowicz took on the role as executive chef at Tavern at the Highlands Country Club in New York, and after some time opened Restaurant North in Armonk, NY which was greeted with guest acclaim and tremendous success.
