From an early age, you could always find Brendan poking at a fire somewhere. Born in Lubbock, TX, where fire cookin' is a way of life, this is where Brendan first found his love of fire and smoke cooked cuisine. After college, Brendan moved to the West Coast of California where he grew his passion for everything cooking. It wasn't long before he found himself back in Texas where he honed his meat smoking in Austin. Now in the heart of Fort Worth, TX in the historic Stockyards where Brendan will be opening Smiley's Craft Barbecue, finally bringing smoked craft meats to North Texas.
