BB&T Charleston Wine + Food has quickly risen in the ranks of nationally-acclaimed food festivals during its ten years. With an explosive culinary scene, historic landscapes and irresistible charm, Charleston offers something for every audience.
Because of its devotional, graceful attraction to food and gardens and architecture, Charleston stands for all the principles that make living well, with a civic virtue and a standard.
South of Broad 2009
Annually the first full weekend in March. The 2015 festival will take place March 4 – 8, 2015 and tickets are on sale now.
Founded: In 2006 by a dedicated group of volunteers and community leaders.
Mainly downtown Charleston, South Carolina. The Culinary Village is located in historic Marion Square on the corner of Calhoun and King Streets. Excursions are offered to visit culinary destinations with chefs and industry experts, and most beverage seminars are held at the Culinary Institute.
A celebration of Charleston’s culinary excellence, including a local food culture rich in tradition, James Beard award-winning chefs, and their peers from around the world. More than 100 events and culinary collaborations take place over the course of five days throughout the city of Charleston.
BB&T Charleston Wine + Food is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization which benefits scholarship programs for the culinary and hospitality workplace through the Culinary Institute of Charleston, The Arts Institute of Charleston, and College of Charleston’s Department of Hospitality and Tourism Management.
