Considered one of the preeminent French chefs and authors in America, Daniel Boulud has grown his culinary empire to include restaurants in New York, Las Vegas, Palm Beach, Miami, Montreal, Toronto, Singapore and Boston.
We are proud to once again welcome Boulud back to Charleston Wine + Food for a namesake Legacy Dinner. Presented by Le Creuset, this exquisite evening will offer a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to enjoy the cuisine of a star studded culinary team lead by Boulud himself. Charleston’s consummate host and our 2016 Tribute Dinner honoree, Mickey Bakst of Charleston Grill, will bring this extraordinary dinner to life with the help of acclaimed chefs from all over the country who have trained in Boulud’s kitchen, including Jean François Bruel of Daniel NYC; Andrew Carmellini of Locanda Verde, The Dutch, Lafayette and more; Michael Anthony of Gramercy Tavern + Untitled, Gavin Kaysen of Spoon and Stable, and Remy Funfrock of The Sanctuary.
The table will be set at the city’s most elegant private dining room, the penthouse of the People’s Building overlooking Charleston’s harbor and skyline. Each course will be paired with premier wines from Krug, Trimbach Clos St. Hune, Joseph Drouhin Montrachet Marquis de Laguiche, and Château d’Yquem.
Partial proceeds benefit Teach the Need, a program that pairs professional mentors with at-risk high school students to learn front-of-house employment skills.
