Great things are brewing in Charleston. . .and you get to imbibe them during our behind-the-scenes tours and tastings led by South Carolina native and craft beer writer Timmons Pettigrew! Palmetto Brewing Company—the first post-Prohibition brewery in the city—will be serving up samples of their notable handcrafted beers, and we’ll be exploring the offerings from newcomers to Charleston’s increasingly lively beer scene. Holy City Brewing will be treating us to the finely crafted ales and lagers it makes using sustainable practices. You’ll also get to taste the awesome product of Westbrook Brewing Company’s experiments with unusual ingredients and special brewing techniques as well as the unique beers that COAST Brewing Company creates from organic local ingredients and crafts in their biodiesel-fired kettle. Small tastings of food from Caviar & Bananas will be available at each stop, and the final stop will have a much larger spread to enjoy.
